ITINERARY
Dhaka - Chittagong - Rangamati - Bandarban in 03 Night & 04 Days
Day 01: Train Trip and sightseeing in Chittagong City
Meet with our guide at your hotel or residence at 06:30 a.m. sharp and transfer to Dhaka Central Railway station. The train leaves at around 7:00 a.m. We will take the morning intercity train to Chittagong.
Train in Bangladesh is one of the most popular rides for locals and tourists as well. Air-conditioned, toilet facility and you can walk through from one to another compartment. It's unique to see the difference between urbanization and the simplest villages, crossing rivers and markets, everyday life is special to watch!
Arrive at around noon in the business capital and later we check into the hotel and explore the Chittagong with us in the afternoon.
The famous controversial ship-breaking yard in Kumira, Shitakuda area is exciting! It's the fourth-largest ship-breaking yard and due to environmental issues no longer allows tourists to visit from inside but evenings going close and seeing everything manually is rare anywhere in the world. Doing a boat ride during the monsoon gives you a special experience!
Alongside the scrap market where they sell 50 to 100 years old ships stuff is also a good place for people who live antiquities for collections.

Day 02: Rangamati Hill Tract & Kaptai Lake Boat Tour
Rangamati Hill district is one of the beautiful districts situated on the Kaptai Lake. Dominated by the Chakma tribal community and the highest Buddhist people in Bangladesh offers a unique journey in Rangmati. Here the main mode of transportation is by boat, so to visit this district you will need a boat tour in Kaptai Lake. The markets in the tribal district are the main part of the visit besides the natural beauty. Markets sit mostly twice a week, so it's important when you planning a tour in Rangmati and Bandarban, to put the market days in between.
The morning after breakfast check out and drive to the Rangamti Hill district the day plan is as follows:-
Pathar ghata fish market is the largest sea and sweet water fish market sits early in the morning before sunrise. Ideal place for photographers, this busy and wet market with labourers carrying baskets running everywhere, traditional fishing boats and market liveliness’ making this special
Visit the 2nd World War cemetery run by the Commonwealth War Graves Associations, it is a beautiful sight but sad to see the losses of younger soldiers on both Japanese and royal army frontiers.
We will continue our drive to Rangamati Hill district and we will stop at the local markets to meet tribal peoples, tea coffee, and toilet breaks.

Lake kaptai is about 700 sq km and it's the main source of the livelihood of thousands of people. Surrounded by hills, you will get some spectacular views of nature and lifestyle.
you can enjoy the tribal food of rangamati in an island restaurant.
people around the lake are dependent on fishing and agricultural activities in the lake and water transportation is the only way to travel. While cruising in Kaptai Lake we will visit Chakma tribal village. famous for doing handloom weaving, they are the dominating tribe with strong Buddhist followers.

Back to the land and overnight in Rangamati.
Day 03: kayaking, Sangu river cruise & Bandarban Hills
Bandarban is one of the most remote regions in the country. the Bandarban town stands on the Sangu River, lying in the heart of the rich tribal landscapes of the hill tracks. One of the last bastions of Buddhism in South Asia, this captivating hill country is home to some 13 different ethnic minorities of which Morong & the Marma are the largest. These indigenous tribes differ in both physical appearance and their religious and cultural beliefs from the country's majority Bengali population, In these two days, you have the opportunity to discover a little something of the nature and human diversity of this incredible setting.
Early morning free time in the lakeside and after breakfast, we will check out and start our day visiting sights on the way to Bandarban and the plan includes -
Banorupa Bazar is the biggest tribal market in the town and the best time to visit it is in the morning. Here tribal people bring all their vegetables and fish to sell twice a week. A lot of activities you can watch in the market time.
The hilly road from Rangamti to Bandarbans with spectacular views on one side of Asia’s largest manmade lake and the other sidehills. stops to take some pictures in viewpoints.
Kayaking in Bangladesh is a new sport and here in this beautiful place, you have the chance to do kayaking
We have to cross several checkpoints and upon arrival at Bandarbans, we will stop at the Marma tribal village to visit the tribe and their traditions.
upon arrival, check in to Hillside Resort, and afternoon we will do a nice interesting offbeat hiking tour down towards the river from a hill via exploring the vegetation, nature, and the riverside.
Take a leisure boat ride on the Sangu River. From around 4:00 p.m., the river becomes very active. it is the only source of water for many so in the afternoon people come down to wash and clean. back to the resort and overnight in an Eco Resort located in the hills of Bandarban.
Day 04: Meet the remote tribes of Bandarban Hill Tracts
Today we will spend our whole day exploring the country's least populated city with beautiful green hills and the Tibet Burman tribes make the visit very special. our day plan includes -
Early in the morning, we will do an hour-long hiking tour to visit one of the special tribes called the Tripura tribe. Famous for wearing the traditional bracelets on their neck makes them unique. Nowadays, you may see old people wearing this but it’s worth to visit
The Bandarban market on a market day is a hub of all remote tribal groups of Bangladesh. they come and trade in the weekly markets. it’s a rare chance to see the tribes living so far from communication. Our local tribal guide will help you to communicate with them.
We will start driving to deep and remote parts of the Bandarban to explore the tribes living in the hilltops and footholds. The MRO tribal people are living near the footholds. Depending on the forest and hunting, this tribe is still considered the tribe that still trying to keep their cultures and customers alive.
Followed by visiting the bawm tribal village and their small market where they display their traditional dresses
we will offer you a tribal lunch in a traditional restaurant
Enjoy the afternoon from the Nilachol viewpoint
Transfer to Chittagong by car and take the evening flight back to Dhaka ( flight is not included)

General Information to travel to Chittagong Hill Tract
Chittagong Hill district is the most remote part of Bangladesh. In the past, there was some conflict between the Rangamati and Bandarban hill districts. After the peace accord situation is safe to travel for foreigners. To ensure the safety and comfort of government orders before visiting CHT (Chittagong Hill tract district), you have to apply for a special permit through a travel agency.
For applying to get a pass, they need 7 working days with a valid visa & passport copy with an application attached to the travel itinerary.
Tribal groups are friendly. You can go and visit them frequently but they are not used to seeing a tourist. So when you go, you need a local guide that we always provide in some places of Rangamati and Bandarban. The tribal people are a little shy compared to the Bangladeshi locals. For photography, it is wise to ask in advance.
